im not really sure, all the error reports i get say very little, im still tweaking, have yet to see if RAMvltg affects anything, but yah, more or less my comp runs fine, occasionally PB wil have issues, but thats to be expected, other then that all the programs that tie into ie, and maybe just activity on the network, will just crash my shit sometimes, when xfire refreshes the ads in the top my comp freaks now and again, so i run xfire on my xp rig, good thing is from what i've read in my error reports, which is very little, most think it's varios programs w/vista ultimate taht detect incoming info and see it as a threat, so when the comp freezes vista is doing it on purpose, i need to figure out which programs these are and disable them or reconfig, difficult thing is that they're new to vista, and i think specific to ultimate, so the amount of info is sparce to say the best, and all solutrions seem to work at random w/many diff viable solutions to the same problems

that sounds terrible! had no idea ultimate was such a mess, although i remember what a hassle all the new security features are until i figured out how to disable them (do you wish to trust content from the "Microsoft corporation"?) ahahah, but you know i love misery in others, especially you but i'm the latest member of the WTF BULLSHIT club this week with my Radeon x1900xt dying on me, after a year and a half, never overclocked, never taken out of my very cool basement, cleaned every couple months, and it just bit the bullet, all of a suddan after playing CoD for 20 minutes, and JUST finding some cool cusom maps, i get graphical tears and artifacting all over the place, i reboot and before going into the OS i have serious green color banding everywhere, and fucking fags at ATI told me to go fuck myself with my $750 paperweight.

so i just bought a 8800gt

Global...go to the site linked below. Follow the directions he gives, and disable all the services that he disabled under the "safe" setting for Vista Ultimate. He goes through each Vista OS. If you have services that he doesn't list...Google them.

Part of the reason why my Vista may run pretty decently, is that I turned off all the security shit. If you truly believe that any of that shit makes even a remote difference in some hacker getting into your comp (no hacker wants into your comp, btw) than I have a bridge to sell you. Storm lives by it.

Go here. Works for XP too, for anyone with an XP OS trying to squeeze out a little more performance. It works.

http://www.blackviper.com/

I used his "barebones" settings for XP for 4 years. No problems whatsoever, and my comp, as an old piece of shit, could still play CoD4 and FFOW, even though FFOW runs like ass on this new comp.

I'm running on the safe settings myself. Go there, try it out. And for god's sake, disable every dumb microsoft protection app...its garbage.

antispyware isn't half bad. But definatley 100% disabled that User Account Control BS, thast the worst thing that causes all the problems people have with Vista.
Unidus SUCKS!
