It's probably not worth it for you. Your getting good franerate for beingon high. I have been running medium with effects on low to get my frame rate. What did you use to test to get those numbers?

Wow no shit it's not worth it, it's not even worth it to upgrade to the Intel i7 975 Extreme right now for that 20 some odd boost in FPS, and this comparison is of the Q6600 stock @ 2.4 Ghz, I'm running @ 3.2Ghz.

see whats funny thou, this is what I went from. Really not much difference in alot of games, but huge for bc2 so far. But maybe they will fix it, time will tell.

graphics wise, everything's in "medium" in the beta

that's right, all of the high rez textures which will fill up a beefy gfx card are saved for release.

i was running the beta with everything on high dropping as low as 90-100, averaging 120-130, if i looked at the sky itd go as high as 200

if i ran in low my low dips were at 120-130 and averaged 140-150, regularly going up to 200 when i was just running around, but no higher

looks like its still cpu throttled, i guess maybe i should overclock my cpu soon, oh wait, did i mention that cause of the heat with my stock fan, all of these specs are running it underclocked. yup, the nehalems are beast.

but of course youre wasting your time if youve got 120FPS on a 60hz monitor, so i went and got me a 120hz samsung. its like butter, buttery buttery smoothe velvety godness, like syrup over french bread, i lap it up, yum yum yum.

not that any of that makes me a better player, im still fine tuning my control setup, oh got a new zboard Merc Stealth too for kicks (trying to bind a HOLD crouch key )

but now that i can see everything i know when i hit and when i miss, and to me the hit reg is %100 accurate. (if on a good server) as when i had laggy performance i wasnt really seeing everything that was going down. i know this is just asking for a comeback by the haters YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! but im fucking god on this computer, and it is good.

Now, the spawn protection thing, when you lay into a guy whos just spawned and he doesnt take no damage, then turns around while youre reloading and double taps your brain, cant help you with that one. maybe you can turn that off in the servers

forgot to mention the new monitor im on is 1680x1050, but i get only about 7-8 less fps on my 2 full HD 1920x1200 monitors.

oh wait that reminds me, i need to buy me a DVI to displayport adapter so that i can rock eyefinity with all 3 monitors. and then when ATIs 3D glasses come out in a few months, well i already have the 120hz 3D ready screen for that too.

Nothing better than my 150 dollar upgrade is doing . However your vid card will help you once they crank the graphics up. Not bad bt I'm right there with you hitting 200 fps on low and playing mid 130-150's. Of course I'm not knocking yours I'd like to have it but for the cost and conienince mine is pretty competitive. If I upgrade my vid card I'd be right there with you if not higher depending on what ou oc too . Nic rig though.
