so the rules are up, and theres about 90+ teams signed up already. i'd like to gauge interest from the clan in who wants to be apart of this game mode. if you could please reply to this thread with a modifier of your interest level, anywhere from "hardcore fanatic pro super swat ultra serious" interest, to "casual" interest.

the reason i ask this is because it's a small team format, so if we have 10+ people signed up, then that means that everyone will get to play once every 2.5 matches. Error posed the idea of having 2 teams instead, say 5 on each team, so there's a full squad plus 1 substitute. 

all of this is a non-issue if we only have 5 people interested to begin with. but from what i've asked, so far these people are interested:

cheese

myself

lobo

sknnr

 

but i could be totally wrong with this, so please just post a reply with your level of interest. 

personally i sit around "pretty fucking competitive" level of interest, and would wanna squad up with people of a similar mindset. 

this mode is fun as hell anyways, so i encourage anyone who wants to play be apart of it, even if you're in the "more casual" group of people it'll still be a blast.

I was thinking about this the other night. If it's once a week then sweet, I probably would be on the casual team. Altough I would be hardcore if my time allowed but just can't be hardcore like I used to be.

I'd be interested.  Probably casual or mid.  I'm on a lot but I don't always get to dictate what times I can play.

well i'm gauging interest first, then we need to determine if we're gonna have 1 or 2 teams, and then we'll have a place to sign-up.

personally, i'm not in any huge rush (punny), as we've all seen how much it's taken to get the 8v8's in order.

i'm looking forward to 4v4 though, i like the infantry only style, that's what i was used to with 2142, never really played armor competitively.

well at first the problem was that we thought that we had too many players so that we'd have to make 2 teams, possibly one more competitive than the other.

but really the competitive interest in the game i don't think can support 2 more teams ontop of our 8v8 which needs all the TLC that it can get right now.

So if people are still interested, i'll head up a single 4v4 team, where whoever shows up more often for scrims, and likes to practice in this play mode more often than just rush or conquest, they'll be playing when it comes to match night. seems simple enough. i think that we can handle one 4 man team, i just hope that people aren't pussy hurt if they don't get to play come match time if there's people putting in more time getting prepared. i know that i'm just stating the obvious, but it needs to be said, as it looks like we're gonna have 7 or 8 people signed up (at least) for a 4 man team.

that being said i'm really looking forward to getting it up to speed once i'm back in toronto, i'll focus on it infact. i came from 2142 where we did 5v5 infantry only matches and scrims usually 2-3 times a week. i love squad rush as it's very focused, very team oriented, and requires every person to play a decisive role in victory.

i'll form the team once i'm back in town, and we'll see who signs up. can't wait!

Yeah exactly, I remember we brought you in on the 5v5 bout a third of the way into the season IIRC.

I should have some more time freeing up this next week with finals being over and all. I'm obviously not going to be heading stuff up anymore as i just don't have the time, but I'll be more than happy to provide my wealth of knowledge to scrims/matches whenever possible.

spread the wealth homie! i'm back in toronto now so i'm waiting for people to show up on vent, but i'll speak with error about getting the 4v4 team created at least. should prove to be fun, a bit dissapointing that there's only 4 maps at the moment, but i'm sure that with a couple new free DLC map packs (aka singleplayer maps refitted for MP) we should get a few new ones on the rotation.

good thing about only 4 maps is that we can get concrete strats for each and they should be fairly easy to drill and master, as the format is small and short also.
