looks as if they are either making the 4x scope available for the m14 and g3, or the gameplay video is just old footage.

if they add the 4x scope for the m14, good times could be had.

i'm thinking magnum, plus that scope, on a medic. can be the long fabled "sniper medic". just chilling somewhere on his med pack, blasting fools at range. ammo will be the only problem, cause i think the scope replaces extra ammo.

for those who remember the hype of 2142 before it came out, they were really pushing their "user customizable kits" which really meant your choice of 2 of 4 gadgets, and 1 of 3 guns, that's it. but on the actual retail box i remember (i think) there was the phrase: "you can make your own custom class! be a sniper-medic!" and of course in the game there was no fucking way to be a sniper medic, cause he'd just camp a guard tower and never die. well, actually the damn pk rockets would have dealt with that, but still, it was considered OP. and even though they advertized it, they didn't include it in the game.

looks like now the worm has turned and you can really be a sniper medic. well, rifleman-medic, but still pretty damn close. wonder what sidearm would compliment that kit the best?

most likely the video they showed us is from like 5 months ago before they decided NOT to allow scopes on the guns.

considering that these aren't new maps, but maps NOW available for different modes, i'd assume that they've had the maps available since release, but want to spread it out so it seems like there is new content all the time.

 

I honestly don't know why they don't allow attachments on the m14 and why it's only semi automatic. The us military still uses it today with all kinds of shit on it. (yes I'm a gun nerd)
