ok so if any of you faggots are gonna be coming to toronto this summer, there's a paintballing place that seems alright, and it's a groupon special today, 4 hours, unlimited CO2, guns, mask, something else, bla bla bla, only 100 bullets, but can get more of those. anyways, for 2 people it's normally $87.99 on sale for $20.
so lobrau, cheese, global, and me that's 4, i could grab 2 sets of 2 for $40, seems pretty reasonable. it ends today, so if you want in post here plz. |

yeah, why'd you have to live in mexico guy? it is pretty far, but if you ever wanna do like a road trip you could hit multiples in our clan, drive around in a big RV with 4 LANed computers in the back. error, global, and cheese would be on the way i think. also the guns that they're providing are: "upgraded Tippmann 98/BT Combat guns" are those gonna be any good? i've never done this before, but if playing shooters for 20 years is any indication, i'll be called a hack in the first 5 minutes. I'm gonna be seeing red triangles everywhere! i gotta get in shape for this though, i've heard that you have to move around and stuff playing paintball. |

lol tippman 98 is pretty much the standard rental gun and standard starter gun for Paintball. It's a good reliable gun it's much like an ak-47. It's just good at everything lol. |

okay i bought 4 passes. here's the write-up on groupon: Paintball is a lot like chess in that both require complex strategizing and both are almost impossible to win against autonomous robots. Reveal the weaknesses of fellow humans with today's Groupon: for $20, you get a two-person paintball package at Sgt. Splatter’s in North York (an $87.90 value). More than 20 different gaming scenarios ensure an abundance of adrenaline pumps through Sgt. Splatter’s 35,000-square-foot, two-storey urban war zone, which was designed by a Hollywood set specialist and features a sprinkling of abandoned automobiles. A two-person package provides general admission and four hours of field time (a $29.95 value/person) at one of Canada's largest paintball fields, as well as upgraded Tippmann 98/BT Combat guns (a $10 value/person), 100 paintballs, full face masks and goggles, unlimited carbon dioxide, upgraded jumpsuits (a $4 value/person), and armbands to identify teammates and targets. The site encourages strategic teamwork for gaming scenarios, some of which involve the capture of an enemy flag, prevention of a nuclear crisis, or the bottling and distribution of opponent tears. |

oh yeah? it's like an AK? that sounds alright to me. i figure that they'll all be shit, or all pull to the left/right or something. aslong as i can practice my aim at a wall or something beforehand, i guess i should find a deal on paintballs and bring my own, i bet they'll be expensive at the place, and they only give u 100. are all paintballs standard size? btw mongo i put 2 of the passes in ur name, cause i can only get 2 for me, had to "gift" the other 2. don't think it matters, just will have to show ID probably? who knows. now i gotta work on finding a REAL gun range outside the city... |

chopping? also one of yous guys americans should bring a big bag of paintballs cause i know everything ballistics-oriented is cheaper in the states, even if it's non lethal. that is if they're all a universal size... find a real gun range seems like it's not gonna happen though, too much red tape, resigtrations etc. i bet it'd be easy as shit in america to stroll onto a range, pick a gun and start shooting within the hour. |

my closest target range is about 20 minutes away, and as long as you're 21 and have a photo id, it takes about 5 minutes. i took my 19 year old sister shooting a few months back. took about 5 minutes to pick the guns, buy the targets and ammo, and pick a range. |

i bet they'd give you 2 for 1 discounts on ammunition if you brought your own cardboard cutout of osama bin laden to shoot at. when we have a clan meetup in the states we'll have to shoot some guns, that'd be kickass. up here it's a fucking mess, i could probably buy a gun illegally off the street and just go up north and be shooting at cans and stuff faster than it would take to even filling out the first round of paperwork to do it legally. oh well, probably a good thing. |

its probably just your city. some cities in the us are like that, nyc being one of them. look outside of your city limits and you might find target ranges that only require a state ID. |

yeah the ones in the city are all closed down now because we had 12 gun deaths in a year so some mother's group petitioned it to be shut down, the only ones exist outside of the city limits. From the reports on forums etc, it seems that the range owners/managers themselves are usually pretty chill if you call before and say you're new, interested in the sport, and if you could try some out, after getting training, and under the supervision of a liscenced instructor bla bla bla. then they MIGHT let you get away with that, but probably not 4 of us at the same time.
There was this whole gun registration guffawfle like 10 years back in this country that was a program started by the liberals. was supposed to be like 10 million dollars to register all the guns in the land. well, 5 years later that somehow turned intoa billion dollars, and it was still nigh impossible to get over 80% of the guns registered. it was a huuuuge political liability for the liberals, and part of why they've receded from power, the whole thing was a mess. now anytime you mention "gun registration" in canada, people just get pissy.
also ammo here is apparently expensive, and they make it alot harder to get handgun liscences. |

here in the states, we have conceal carry permits that allow us to wear them like they did back in the 'ol west. this is why we're miles ahead of you canadians in sheer amounts of freedom. |

best thing to look for as far as actual shooting ranges are concerned is the open air ones, usually its totally free to go and shoot, just bring ur own guns and ammo and go pew pew out in the open for free, freakin closed in ranges, especially close to the city, are freakin expensive |

Prices depend on the range. At the one I go to, its about $20 to rent a gun AND the range for an hour. Two people can share the gun and range, so when I took my sister, the gun, range and like 8 targets was around $26.00 or so. The expensive part is the ammo. One box of 50 rounds of 9mm will cost between $20-25.00 each, so if you want to fire 150 rounds, the ammo alone is going to be $60.00+, whereas everything else is like $25. Either way, you're going to pay for the ammo, so for $25.00 its a good deal. Here's the range I go to and the prices and guns, etc. http://targetworld.net/therange.htm#RANGEFEES |

paintballs are .68 cal which is standard. there is .50 cal but its new and pretty lame if you ask me. I used to paintball alot untill college happened lol. I have an electro gun that pew pew's pretty fast. tippy's (tippmann) is the most reliable gun and is the best if you just want to walk on your local field. I have a different setup but i spend summer moneyz on it last summer. i havnt found anything that gives me a bigger adrenalyn rush than walking up behind someone and surrendering them its the most awesome feeling ever. well the most awesome **legal** feeling. haha |
