I'm thinking about taking over the reigns of fronting the cost of a new Dedicated server.
I'm one of the few guys in this clan with a fulltime job making decent cash, figure its the right thing to do.

I'm thinking 64player server for the first month and possibly going down to 32 depending on how it runs.

So my question is, are you guys willing to donate some coin on a monthly basis or whenever you can in order to keep this thing alive?

Slick is going to throw a telethon to raise money from the jewish community and possibly donate his cats to science.

Voice your opinion on the folling:

1. can you donate, no worries if you can't.
2. What size server should we get!?
3. What company should we get it from?

Right now multiplay servers has a wicked deal on where we can get less than $1USD / slot

yeah go for it, i'm mega super poor so right now i can't, but i'll pitch eventually, sometime throughout the lifetime of the server that's for sure.

also plz don't donate my cats to science, i don't want anyone prodding my pussies but me.

order a server and there will be a donate thing, post it on the forums.

i can pitch in a few bucks, see if anyone else does. if not, cancel it.

i thought we all agreed on chicago? i mean st. louis worked fine last time. i was just under the impression that we all agreed on chicago this time. sup with that?

also, i'm thinking maybe changing the name of the server to just "The Pentagon"

sometimes when searching for servers, the longer names get cut off, also it just gets lost with the mess... server names that stick out to me are like:

"pink taco bar"

"house of titties"

"B.Y.O.B"

etc.

not talking about the suggestive titles, just about the sinplicity *freudian slip i guess, imagine you're naming a new game you've built erikson, are you going to call it: "massive online shooter with tanks, planes, and choppers" or are you going to call it "battlefield".  think like a marketing rep.

I can probably throw down too. You guys will just have to give me some payment details. A Chicago server would be my preference over St Louis any day for me. As for providers, I'll leave that up to you guys, I don't know jack about them.

St. Louis is slightly more central than Chicago. Also slightly closer to the west coast.

hey, remember that $50 you said you'd give me for giving you tasty mixes? you should throw that on the server on my behalf.

i'll throw in cash. also, if my website starts making money I'll be able to throw even more at the server.

IMPORTANT: I just realized that the "Donate to our Server" link at the top of the page (embedded in the top links) still points to the OLD gameservers clan pay. We should probably update that with the new link. I may be able to change it if I still have site admin.

It's $64/Month. I got us in at $1/slot for the lifetime of the server! Regular it was like $104/month.
