But i think we as a people, might still have a chance in local elections and politics. |

A little off topic but i just read this funny comment on digg.com although we do have the largest prison population poison is available for purchase at every corner (and i mean the "legal corporate/govt sponsored poison) most of our high school graduates read at 6th grade level we use most of the worlds resources most people treat their pets better than other humans most can barely waddle to the dinner table or get up from the couch shall i go on? Pretty much sums up 'most' Canadians overall impression of 'most' middle to low income Americans. |

As a true American, I can answer back that we just don't care what people think about us. The United States is a player, and everyone who hates Americans because we are rich and powerful, are just haters.
Hate the game, not the player. |

Right, thought he was a senator for some reason. Error was schooling me good today on the U.S. political structure. |

Texas is the weirdest place in the world (a good thing).
You hear Texas, and you think loud ass country music, big rusty pickups, and do-or-die Republicans...and then you visit Austin and see a liberal-ass city...and meet 3 relatives online who don't seem to be Republicans.
I like Texas, but it's way too god damn hot there! |

91 is about as high as I like it, great for going out on a boat, cause your warm even when you get out of the water. But there has to be shade. I used to live out here. http://www.destin-ation.com/boating...bsp; scroll down for pics like 10min from my house |

anything over 104 is hot...105-120 all feels the same. It's not the heat that gets me. It the intensity of the sun that accually hurts me when your in it for longer than 2 min. |
